A Standing Committee of the

Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council

 

Purpose

The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Input Committee is a group of certified minority business enterprise representatives who provide counsel and recommendations so that programs and projects implemented by NCMSDC are relevant and supportive of minority business development.

  

Who Can Attend Meetings

MBE Input Committee meetings are open to all certified NCMSDC MBEs.  Those interested in attending must register for each meeting for security purposes.  Please note that only elected and ad hoc members may provide direct input at meetings and only elected members may vote.

Meeting Rules

MBEs who do not follow these rules will not be allowed to attend meetings

 

1)     For security purposes, you must register to attend each meeting whether you are attending in person or dialing in

2)     Only elected and ad hoc members may provide input at meetings

3)     Only elected MBE Input Committee Members may vote

4)     You may either attend in person or dial in (for dial in codes, please email us)

5)     All meetings are pre-structured; if you would like to propose an agenda item, you must email MBE Input Committee Chair Don Stoneham 2 weeks in advance

 

MBE Input Committee Objectives

-Facilitate the expansion of the NMSDC certified minority business community;

-Recruit new MBEs to be certified, and encourage their participation in and support of MBEIC activities;

-Support NCMSDC staff and Council activities;

-Establish working relationship with Standing Committees of the Board;

-Identify needs of the Council’s minority businesses and provide recommendations/observations on programs and services to the Staff;

-Ensure continuous communication and coordination of activities between the Board, Staff and the local and national Minority Business Enterprise Input Committees;

-Identification or recommendation of programs to assist in growth of minority-owned member businesses;

-Recommend training and technical assistance projects, which address specific problem areas encountered by minority-owned businesses.
