How about staying in the area and digging some razor clams. They make a delicious clam chowder! Ninilchik is a small peaceful town with a local grocery store, gas station, gift shops, and a few restaurants. Depending on when you visit you will see some of the most awesome sunsets overlooking the ocean and Mountain Range. After a day of saltwater fishing with Alaskan Fishing Fever Charters, you can visit the old Village of Ninilchik, the Russian gift shop, or you can walk the beach, take a hike up to the Russian Orthodox Church, fish the rivers or just sit back and enjoy yourself while you relax.
